Your Partner In Every Stage

Our firm is here for clients through each phase of their lives, from business management to estate planning.

What age do most people begin estate planning?

There is no specific age at which most people do estate planning, as it is a personal and individual decision based on various factors such as financial situation, family circumstances, and personal goals. However, it is generally recommended that people start thinking about their estate plan as soon as they have assets or a family to consider. This may be in their 20s or 30s if they have started a family or built up substantial assets or later in life if they have not.

It is also important to review and update estate plans regularly, especially after significant life events such as the birth of a child, the death of a spouse, or a major change in financial circumstances. Estate planning is an ongoing process, not a one-time event, which is why our professionals are with you through each step.

Is estate planning for the wealthy?

No, estate planning is not just for the wealthy. Estate planning is important for anyone who wants to make sure their assets and property are distributed according to their wishes and to minimize taxes, costs, and other complications after death. Whether you have a small or large estate, an estate plan can help you ensure that your family and loved ones are taken care of in the event of your death or incapacity. Estate planning can also help you manage and protect your assets, plan for end-of-life care, and make arrangements for financial and medical decisions in the event that you become unable to make those decisions for yourself. Regardless of wealth, estate planning is a valuable tool for anyone who wants to ensure their wishes are carried out, and their assets are protected.

Where does PWR offer services?

PWR serves clients nationwide, providing legal and financial guidance in various situations.

What is the difference between a will and estate planning?

A will is an instrument that, by itself, could be an estate plan or be one part of an estate plan. Often, we have clients ask, “do I just need a will?” The answer, most of the time, is it depends. We typically refer to Wills as the C-minus estate plan. It will suffice, but it alone does not meet most, if not all, of the client’s planning goals.
